Job Summary
An
Administrative Assistant with our Claims Department in Toronto is responsible
for providing day-to-day administrative support to the department’s Lawyers and
Claims Examiners. This is a hybrid role, with 1-2 days per week expected
in-person at 200 Bay Street in Toronto.
- Scheduling meetings, preparing
meeting agenda and meeting minutes
- Preparing expense reports
- Creating reports and tracking
departmental data
- Handling confidential
information with significant discretion and judgment
- Preparing routine documentation
and correspondence for a group of Claims Examiners and Lawyers
- Sending out and tracking
couriers and express post packages
- Photocopying, printing and
scanning documents.
- Closing Claim files as per the
closing procedures.
- Assisting Claims Examiners with
administrative support as required
- Incoming and Outgoing mail
- Answering all incoming Claims
calls
- Provide backup for Reception.
- Other duties as assigned or
required.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of administrative
experience
- Ability to multi-task and meet
tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written
communication, customer service, organizational, and problem-solving
skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Resourceful in nature
- Good computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
