Responsibilities

  • Review and verify invoices and check requests for accuracy, appropriate documentation, and approval.
  • Sort, code, and enter accounts payable data into the accounting system.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of vendor statements, and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, as well as issue checks for accounts payable.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and take necessary actions on overdue accounts.
  • Prepare banks & credit cards reconciliations
  • Assist in cashflow management
  • Maintain vendor files, including contracts, and correspondence.
  • Produce monthly expense reports.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes e.g. accrual and prepayment schedules.
  • Prepare costing of products.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Liaise with other departments and vendors to resolve any financial issues or queries.
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of Lucid information.
  • Works on special projects as directed.
  • Performs other accounting, financial or administrative tasks as required.
  • Any other responsibilities assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and organizational and leadership skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting software.
  • Energetic self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a sense of urgency and accountability
  • Self-motivating with a positive attitude, ability to multi-task, and problem solve logically
  • Great attention to detail and meticulousness to get the job done properly
  • Experienced with ERP and other production management systems.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office including spreadsheets and emails

Typical working conditions

  • Typical office hours working Monday to Friday with exceptions for inventory, cycle counts, audits.
  • Constant communication with office, manufacturing, and management staff
