Key Skills Required

  • Physical Stamina and Strength: Able to lift and handle cases of wine and spirits throughout the day.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage warehouse layout, prioritize orders, and ensure efficient inventory access.
  • Team Collaboration: A strong team player who works well with others to meet fulfillment targets and maintain smooth operations.
  • Basic Computer and Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with inventory management systems, barcode scanning, and data entry for inventory updates.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safe handling practices, especially for fragile and heavy items.
  • Time Management: Able to manage time effectively to complete daily tasks, including picking, packing, shipping, and inventory counts.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Order Picking and Packing

  • Accurately pick products based on client orders, ensuring the correct wines and spirits are selected per specifications.
  • Pack orders securely to prevent damage in transit, following strict packaging protocols specific to fragile items.

2. Shipping and Receiving

  • Assist with receiving shipments, verifying accuracy, and updating inventory records.
  • Prepare completed orders for shipping, ensuring they are labeled and placed in the correct location for pickup.

3. Inventory Management and Control

  • Conduct regular cycle counts and address discrepancies promptly to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Assist in full inventory counts and spot checks as scheduled.
  • Monitor stock levels, update the inventory system, and report low stock or discrepancies to supervisors.

4. Inventory Picking Assistance

  • Assist in locating and retrieving items from inventory locations with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure picked items align with client orders, following the "first-in, first-out" (FIFO) principle when applicable.

5. Warehouse Organization and Maintenance

  • Keep the warehouse organized, with appropriate labeling and organization by category, client, and priority level.
  • Follow best practices for stacking and storing fragile items to avoid damage.

6. Quality Control

  • Inspect items for damage or defects before packing and shipping to maintain high standards.
  • Double-check all orders to ensure accuracy and adherence to client specifications.

7. Compliance with Safety and Handling Protocols

  • Adhere to SHIPNOBLE’s safety protocols, especially when handling fragile and heavy items.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe lifting and handling practices.

8. Collaboration and Communication with Fulfillment Team

  • Work closely with the fulfillment team and inventory managers to ensure tasks like picking, packing, and shipping run smoothly.
  • Communicate any issues (e.g., inventory shortages or damaged items) to the appropriate team members or supervisors.
