Responsibilities:
- Inspecting
the incoming material for contamination or any other types of defects.
- Unbanding
and unwrapping of all raw coils.
- Loading
coils on the uncoilers.
- Calculating
the weight and copying coils.
- Setting
up cores on the recoilers.
- Setting
up and making leader strip.
- Setting
up the coils for the next shift including splitting and flipping as
necessary.
- Checking
and topping up nickel baskets with nickel D crowns.
- Making
and cleaning roller seals, hydra seals.
- Emptying
the garbage, cardboard and metal recycling bins.
- Preparing
the aluminum drums for shipment. (capping and cleaning)
- Filter
station dismantling, cleaning and rebuilding of filters.
- Performing
the walk-arounds including taking slugs, stickers and incoming coil tags.
