WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Contribute
to the development and maintenance of a 12-month content calendar for our
national social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn
and potentially new channels)
- Contribute
to editorial planning meetings where you’ll work collaboratively with the
team to plan content for the month and brainstorm ideas for visuals,
formats and engagement techniques.
- Schedule
and publish social media content across various national channels –
serving as the final check point to ensure brand consistency, accuracy and
effectiveness
- Manage
the process, voice, and tone for responding to community comments and
inquiries over social media – developing and maintaining community
guidelines and policies
- Monitor,
respond to and engage with social media community members to steward and
grow audience – creating a safe and supportive online space
- Working
with subject matter experts across the organization to ensure accuracy of
information when responding to our community
- Champion
and represent our social media communities – sharing insights and trends
in community feedback to inform content and strategies
- Aid
in the management of our social media tools (for example: Sprout Social
and Link In Bio) to help coordinate social media posting, scheduling,
linking and tagging
- Support
in the development and implementation of a tagging process to categorize
and analyze social media content
- Write
and edit both compelling and technical content for our social media
channels.
- Develop
visual assets for our social media channels, including video content for
TikTok and Instagram (including starring in video content).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- University
or college degree with 2-4 years experience in a content creation (writing
+ design) role
- Ability
to use creative software to help produce digital and social visuals
(proficiency in Canva, Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, Illustrator)
- Experience
with video editing platforms (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut)
- Experience
with planning content across multiple platforms; a robust understanding of
social media platforms and their best practices is a must
- Experience
with community management; the ideal candidate has experience building a
community, monitoring content and comments, engaging with the audience,
including responding to inquiries in comments and direct messages, all
while ensuring the accuracy of information and staying in line with the
brand voice
- Experience
using social media management tools (ie: Sprout Social or similar) and
native scheduling tools (ie: Meta Business Suite)
- A
self-starter – in this role, you’ll be co-leading the brand’s social media
content calendar, so proactivity and creative thinking is a must!
- Storytelling
and creativity, particularly when it comes to social media content
calendar planning
- A
strong understanding of social media and digital marketing
- Proven
working experience in social media and digital content creation
- Deadline-driven
multi-tasker with strong attention to email
- Excellent
communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and
intuition to inform decisions
- Excellent
organizational skills
- Ability
to work as a team player and demonstrate personal initiative to complete
the work
- Ability
to operate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- A
team player who values an environment of open communication and
collaboration
- Bilingual (English and French) is an asset
