Responsibilities
- Work
with project managers to accomplish various tasks associated with tailings
process and optimization projects;
- Design
of tailings process systems and other relevant process units:
conventional, non-conventional, hybrid-disposal, co-disposal;
- Knowledge
and experience in sizing and selection of technology and equipment:
thickening, classification, filtration, transport;
- Familiar
with deposition strategies and plans;
- Specify
tailings testwork;
- Participate
in all parts of the process from design logistics, build commission, and
operations;
- Develop
capital and operating cost estimates, technical specifications, and
contract documentation;
- Work
with clients, vendors, and other contractors to complete project
deliverables;
- Participate
in design and HAZOP reviews as required;
Qualifications
- 2nd,
3rd or 4th year student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in
Mining/Materials/Metallurgical/Mechanical/Civil/Process Engineering from
an accredited University
- Knowledge
/ education specializing in tailings process engineering design and
construction an asset
- Operations
or previous engineering design or construction experience is an asset
- Demonstrate
good written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Experience
developing and reading drawings including process PFD’s, PID’s, General
arrangement drawings, site plans
- Solid
report writing skills
- Solid
communication and presentation skills
- AutoCAD
/ MicroStation
- Ability to travel to client’s offices, vendor offices, and to site for periods of time
