Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries regarding freight and shipping services.
  • Utilize phone systems effectively to ensure clear communication with clients.
  • Process orders and handle data entry tasks accurately in our systems, including SyteLine.
  • Collaborate with the shipping and receiving departments to provide timely updates to customers.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly while ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to streamline operations within the supply chain.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements within customer service operations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within a logistics or supply chain environment.
  • Strong phone etiquette with excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with freight operations and third-party logistics (3PL) is desirable.
  • Proficient in data entry with attention to detail.
  • Ability to navigate phone systems efficiently to manage calls effectively.
  • Experience with SyteLine or similar software is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer satisfaction.
