Who You Are:
- Minimum
of 2 -3 years of experience in Accounts Payable and Payroll processing
(experience in construction is a plus)
- Knowledge
of accounting principles and payroll systems
- Proficient
in Microsoft Office; experience with accounting and estimating software
(Procore, QuickBooks, etc.) is a plus
- Attention
to detail and the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Strong
written and verbal communication skills
- Proven
ability to manage sensitive financial information with confidentiality
- Strong
organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as part
of a team
- Bachelor’s
degree or related experience in Accounting or Finance is preferred
- Experience
in construction industry accounting processes or knowledge of applicable
regulations is an asset

Responsibilities:
- Accounts
Payable:
- Manage
the full accounts payable cycle, including processing invoices, vendor
management, and compliance with payment terms
- Reconcile
vendor statements and review all payments for accuracy
- Coordinate
payment schedules and maintain positive relationships with vendors
- Payroll:
- Process
bi-weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Administer
employee benefit plans and manage payroll deductions
- Maintain
confidentiality of all payroll and employee-related information
- Corporate
Accounting:
- Ensure
compliance with all relevant tax filings and reporting (HST, WSIB, EHT,
etc.)
- Perform
banking functions, including bank reconciliations and online transactions
- Assist
in month-end and year-end processes, ensuring all records are up to date
and accurate
- Review expense reports and ensure adherence to corporate policies
