Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable:
- Verify
the accuracy and completeness of the classification of all vendor invoices
into QBO.
- Process
outgoing payments as instructed in compliance with financial policies and
procedures.
- Monitoring
past due balances, managing correspondence with vendors and vendor
relationships.
- Issue
customer invoices as requested using QBO.
- Collect
aged outstanding accounts receivable.
Payroll:
- Preparation
of bi-weekly payroll for head office in Canada and for U.S based staff.
- Collect
and verify timekeeping information for all employees.
- Calculate
and pay according to hours worked incorporating vacation and overtime.
- Ensure
employee RRSP/DPSP contributions are recorded correctly.
- Preparation
of annual T4 filing.
- Deal
with any issues and questions regarding payroll from employees.
- Prepare
government remittances (EHT, WSIB).
Other Bookkeeping Responsibilities:
- Reconcile
all bank accounts weekly.
- Reconcile
corporate credit cards monthly.
- Maintain
prepaid amortization schedule and book monthly entries.
- Calculate
and book capital asset depreciation monthly.
- Update
loan and related interest schedules and book required interest accrual
entries.
- Update
accrual schedules monthly and process related adjusting entries.
- Preparing
monthly HST returns.
- Providing
support for the interim and annual audit.
- Assist
with preparation of monthly financial reporting packages.
- Other ad hoc bookkeeping responsibilities as required.
