Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Rates Coordinator to join our team in the transportation industry. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of experience in rate coordination and possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent communication abilities to manage pricing, negotiate with vendors, and maintain smooth logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain rate structures for transportation services.
- Analyze and compare market rates to ensure competitive pricing.
- Negotiate rates with vendors, carriers, and clients to maximize profitability.
- Process rate requests accurately and in a timely manner.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Loadlink to manage rate data and documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize pricing strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, carriers, and customers.
- Address and resolve rate discrepancies and pricing issues efficiently.
- Monitor industry trends to make informed pricing recommendations.
- Work under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while ensuring accuracy in all rate-related processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Rates Coordinator in the transportation industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Loadlink.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and resolve rate-related challenges efficiently.
- Work Ethic: Adaptability to high-pressure environments, demonstrating strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Relationship Building: Proven ability to establish and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders.
