Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, and assisting with the preparation of various financial reports. This role requires on-site presence and is ideal for candidates with less than two years of experience who are looking to grow their skills in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Calculate and prepare payroll cheques

Maintain payroll and employee records

Keep and organize financial records

Establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems

Maintain general ledgers and financial statements

Post journal entries and reconcile accounts

Prepare trial balance of books

Verify and balance financial transactions

Prepare tax returns and complete insurance or other claim forms

Generate statistical, financial, and accounting reports as needed
Qualifications:

College diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Less than 2 years of relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Proficiency with bookkeeping software and Microsoft Office Suite

Good organizational and time management skills

Ability to work on-site and manage confidential information with integrity
Work Environment:
This is a fully on-site position. All tasks must be completed at the physical workplace. Remote work is not available for this role.
